Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you to gain a better understanding of who you are, the experiences which have shaped you and the beliefs and behaviours which may be affecting your life. This level of self-awareness can help you to find acceptance and/or the resolve to make changes to your life.

 

In practice, this process can involve an exploration of some of the below areas:

  • Building a supportive and trusting client-therapist relationship

  • Providing a confidential and non-judgemental space to tell your story

  • Identifying, expressing and exploring thoughts, feelings and somatic experience

  • Understanding the sources and triggers of your beliefs, values, emotions, behaviours and fears

  • Challenging ingrained assumptions and ways of being, re-writing the narrative

  • Understanding yourself, your needs and learning to prioritise self-care

How I work...

 

I offer private Counselling and Psychotherapy online and in-person.

 

Sessions are 1 hour and cost £60, payable by transfer in advance of the session.

 

The therapy I offer is open-ended, generally lasting between six sessions to one year or more, depending on the concerns and goals for therapy.

 

The first step is to arrange an introductory assessment session, to provide an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss the issues which have brought you to therapy and agree a way forward.
